Registration fee: There is NO registration fee for the first performing group. If you have additional performing groups, the fee is $50.00 per additional performing group.
Open to high school, middle school/junior high orchestras, symphonic, concert, jazz, marching bands, indoor percussion, color guards, choral and choir groups.
Groups should arrive one-half hour prior to their warm-up time. Please be punctual to help us stay on schedule.
Changing rooms are available at the performance facility, but limited to availability.
Each group should select to enter for competition & rating – rating only – comments only. Groups will receive a rating based on the following scale:
Superior (90-100) Excellent (75-89) Outstanding (60-74)
Literature Requirements for Instrumental and Choral Groups:
There is no required music list for instrumental or choral divisions. However, groups should choose literature appropriate for an educational festival. Please select two or three pieces. Jazz and show choirs should limit performance time to 15 minutes.
Four timpani, chimes, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, concert bass drum with stand, podium, music stands and chairs are provided. (not provided – bells or other percussion equipment)
Choral risers, a tuned piano, and music stands are provided. A microphone will be on stage for announcements. Playback equipment is available for those needing flash drive, SD card, or taped accompaniment.
NOTE: for jazz/show choirs, choral risers will stay in place at all times. Groups must adapt to the performance space. A PA system with up to four microphones will be available upon request 24 hours prior to the date of performance.
A member of our judging panel will conduct an on-stage clinic for groups selecting that option. The clinic will take place immediately following your performance. The clinic will be limited to approximately 10 minutes in duration.
